Sometimes distractions come from the people you love most: your family and friends. They’re not trying to sabotage you; they probably haven’t found their paths either.
Perhaps you feel a secret longing for something else. You might not know what it is, but it is worth pursuing. And it doesn’t mean abandoning your life and starting over; it means finding a way to use your unique talents to benefit the world and live according to a higher standard of conduct and integrity.
Following a path is essential to happiness. But how do we find our unique talents and our high standards after years of searching? How do you find your way?
Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance or ZHEN-SHAN-REN
- Zhen is Truth: being truthful with yourself and others.
- Shan is Compassion: from this innate goodness, we treat ourselves and others with kindness.
- Ren is forbearance: we move through the world with patience, tolerance, and endurance. We persist no matter what.
This is a starting point, as they say, every story starts from when sitting under a tree and contemplating the meaning of our lives and from there on out, the journey begins. Its how we may discern right from wrong in the world.
Society’s standard of decency is no longer what it was. As we focus on self-interests, we become more and more willing to harm others for the smallest amount of personal gain or success. We compete with each other and call others “bad” simply because they don’t further our personal goals. This might be a false judgment. Likewise, we might think of someone as “good” according to our standard, but does he or she live up to the universal standard for human beings? which is being Truthful Compassionate, and Tolerant.
Creating a safe harbor where you can cultivate truth, compassion, and forbearance, is the only way to survive the negative energy that attempts to bring you down. Internal reflection and meditation offer a way to stay focused on your gifts and contributions, despite the noisy world.
We want to do our small part to help you recognize, understand, and return to your true self, which is inherently pure and good.
At a young age, I became interested in martial arts and qigong healing. I learned about the powerful benefits of meditation as well as qigong martial arts and healing. In 2017, I discovered Falun Dafa. This spiritual practice that combines meditation with the development of strong principles and requires people to embody Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.
To practice Falun Dafa, you must incorporate the teachings into every aspect of your life.

Learning the teaching requires study. The introductory book to Falun Gong is a book simply called Falun Gong or China Falun Gong by Mr. Li Hongzhi. Because it comes from China it was originally written in Chinese so some of the terms and concepts might seem unfamiliar, but its a great little book and its recommended you read all Falun Gong texts with an open mind. From there you can start reading the main text called Zhuan Falun (The turning of the Law Wheel) it covers many issues and is available in most languages. Starting a meditation practice is sometimes challenging, so it’s important to make it as easy as possible. Start with the right tools and create a dedicated meditation space that is peaceful, clean comforting, and inspiring. SPIRITUAL LIFE IN A MATERIAL WORLD
For some people, the idea of meditation or true spiritual practice means you have to separate yourself from society. In Falun Dafa, we believe the opposite. You’re not expected to live in a cave or join a monastery. You can embrace society and live within it, using the challenges you face to cultivate Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. If we were never challenged in those ways, we would have no opportunity to practice and return to our true selves.
The amazing stories in this book are first-hand accounts of people from all walks of life who recovered from serious, or in many cases, terminal diseases through practicing Falun Dafa.
Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is practiced by millions of people around the world. You may have read about it in the news, or perhaps come across Falun Dafa practitioners at a parade or some other civic event. It’s also common to see a group of practitioners gathered in a park doing the gentle, slow moving exercises or sitting with their legs crossed in meditation.
Most people who practice the exercises daily and follow the teachings of Falun Dafa report improvements in their health.
